I didn't think I would get much out of it because writing craft books tend to be an echo chamber, but I actually got a lot out of this book. This book really opened my eyes and made me realized the reason why I've been stuck for so long and the story doesn't seem to go anywhere because I'd been neglecting the most important character: the villain. I mean what's the point of a detective story if there's no killer? I'd read books on character arcs before but they tend to focus on the main character. I know my main character pretty well, but I have a hard time when it comes to my antagonist which means I'm fucked because a story needs conflicts and villains/antagonists are the main conflicts. I don't see a lot of writing craft books focusing on villains and I'm really glad I came across this.
