I love Tessa Bailey’s stories and this one is no exception. Lots a steamy scenes and the build up in the love story is fantastic. I didn’t love the performances though. Jason’s voice was extremely monotone, like he was reading his lines instead of acting them out. Naomi’s was better, though I thought her voice didn’t match the character. It was a bit too raspy for the southern bell persona. She sounds like she smokes a pack a day.
And because the story is written in the first person, I had no clue when the character was speaking out loud or having inner thoughts. It was extremely annoying.

Loved the characters and thought their love story was super cute. Didn’t feel like the male narrator’s voice matched Jason. Still a great performance though.

One of the best-written love stories. I loved absolutely everything about and everyone in the story. The FL was beautifully crafted, moving from a life created by others for her to a life of her own. The ML was smart enough to know and go after his love in spite of his own fears. All so sweet, so heartfelt.
