  • What caused your strange condition where you wake up at exactly 3:00 a.m. then fall asleep exactly an hour later, then sleep for twenty-three hours? (Were you experimented on? If so, by who?)

Good premise, bad cat

The whole idea of only being awake one hour a day is very compelling however, the increasing telepathic abilities of the cat and dog just takes any serious reader right out of it. This should belong in Science Fiction and fantasy.

Entertaining book, quite enjoyed it.

I found all the books well written, the story drew you in, though I could have done with less meows...loved narration.

Absolutely brilliantly written and narrated!!

I thought this novel, written by Nick Pirog and narrated by Jamie Renell, was absolutely brilliant!! The stories were great! The conversations with Lassie were hilarious, and eventually made sense. And the ending was so bittersweet! By the way, TMS is real; I was treated with it for depression and it works (but I didn't lose my memory). I want to read more of Nick Pirog, and only hope it will be as good as this!

Always entertaining

After listening to a rash of formula mystery fiction, this was a breath of fresh air. Well written and great narration.

Creative fiction! Fun fiction!

The two words that best describes this series of five short novels are EXTREMELY WEIRD. Protagonist Henry Bins has Henry Bins disease which means he is awake for only one hour daily from 3 AM until 4 AM. I suspect the genre that best fits the series is humor, but a case can be made for political thriller. The author deserves 5 stars on creativity alone. In any case I recommend the series. Narration by Jamie Renell is extraordinarily good.

Author Nick Pirog is a very accomplished author of mystery/thriller fiction. His Thomas Prescott series is outstanding.

3am premium

I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed all 5 of the am books. The humour mix with crime mystery is awsome! Hope more books from this author is on the way.

Meeooow meoow meeooow

By book 2, I couldn't listen to the narrator meowing anymore. Seems like a silly reason to hate an audiobook, but I found it infuriating. It's like whatever the opposite of ASMR is.

Great story but needs some research on some parts

I really enjoy Nick Pirog’s stories. Very enjoyable and fun. However, there are quite a few scenes where incredibly unrealistic things occur. Case in point - a car that has WiFi when all the cell towers are down or a nail gun that shoots nails through the air both straight and with enough force to stick a bad guy. Especially when there is no air tank involved. Just saying...

Finished with a bang...

Certainly looking forward to the next installment. Really great series. Narration was terrific and the storyline is just crazy enough to be interesting.
