pronunciation of main characters name
I love the author and the reader, BUT WHO CHANGED THE PRONUNCIATION OF LORILEI. I cringed every time the name was mentioned

Really Beverly Jenkins? Tempest 2 *spoiler alert
Beverly Jenkins has lost heart. Her books have become repeats of prior books. If you read or heard the book Tempest then there is no need to bother with this one. Both main characters were mail order brides. Both were very wealthy. Both male lead characters are raising children on their own and poor as church mice. Both were doctor/ veterinarians. Both stories had a child that had issues with horses. Both stories had a kidnapper and both ended with the lead characters being pregnant. I am done with Beverly Jenkins books. Early on she had heart and her books were well written now it's all about churning them out for the sake of the contract.

I Love Love Love Beverly Jenkins!!
This is the worst Beverly Jenkins book I've ever read. The Characters were undeveloped there was no heavy passion and Jake was just meh or very bland.I love her detailed history around all of her books and this didn't do it for me.. Sorry Mrs. Jenkins I need my leading lady and man to Burn for each other and they did not!!

Loved it!
The narrator should have consulted about the correct pronunciation of Loreli's name. It was sooo disappointing. I loved the story though.

Loreli
Love the story! I read this book long ago and bought the audio book recently. Listening to the mispronounciation of Loreli over and over again made it difficult to listen. Very distracting 😳. I love all of Mrs. Jenkins books! Wish there was a way to go back and correct that ONE WORD!

As expected!
What more can any one person say about the same author over and over? I love Ms. Bev and her unique way of incorporating history into her fictional novels. For that reason alone I will always listen to her books. I must say that I also love Kim Staunton I truly do, BUT seriously her pronunciation of Lorelei is grating. I mean every single time the name was said it jarred me away from the flow of the storyline. Mind you Lorelei was the most stated word or name in the entire book. Just mind numbing painful. But I’ve listened to the book a few times to actually get the entire story. Great book

What A Journey!!!
I read this book years ago and simply thought … Beverly Jenkins sure know how to take you on a spectacular journey.
Well the narrator did not drop the baton!!!
My auditory experience was just as spectacular. This awesome book and Kim Staunton outstanding narration was the ultimate pairing.
Take the journey!!!!!
