Great book, slightly jarring narrator switch.
I am only giving the performance 4/5 because the change in narrator from the last 2 books is jarring for the first bit. You get used to and I then realized this narrator is also great and it was only the change that threw me a little.

I love this series
I love acotar. This series has such a great story and a few smexy scenes which is lovely. Most of the first and second novel is a romantic build up. This book, was more about the story and the war around them which was wonderful. I was listening to the the dramatized version, with a full cast and sounds. Some people thought it was cheesy, and listening to the sample I had to agree but after trying the regular version I had to go for it since it was much better than the other narrator. I changed back since they changed and she narrates much better in this book, though I wish there was more variety to her characters voices.
Otherwise excellent book and I can’t wait to continue the series

Narrator is cheesy…
Story is fun and exciting, but the narrator ruins the tone. Love scenes aren’t sexy more cringe. Voice changes are too subtle, all sound feminine.

Different narrator but still really good
It was a little jarring at first having someone else read but after a couple hours it was great
There is quite a bit of sex if you’re going for that and it’s steamy (not a teen novel)
It was amazing to garden to and to listen to on long walks—just getting lost in it

I fell in love with Tamlin in book 1, no matter how much you’re annoyed in the first bit of the book KEEP READING (listening)
I was super disappointed and it actually depressed me a little and sent a gloom over my afternoon briefly—-then boom back in love
The emotional journey the reader goes through is so worth it in the romance plot
I enjoyed it so much I bought the next book before finishing this one

Really Enjoyed the series
I actually have never read fantasy let alone slightly smutty fantasy. I have to admit I really enjoyed it. the narration did leave something to be desired though.
after the first book I crushed this and the 2nd one in less than a week. definitely recommend!
