A Very Fun Listen

Instead of being immersed in the world. I enjoy sci-fi for the fantasy aspect and putting modern at the time political stuff like that ruins the immersion.
It felt forced into the story.
The narrator I enjoy his voice, it took a bit to get used too at first. Then it just became what it should be.
The author threw in some steampunk character is then 2nd or 3rd book and while it was okay, the male characters name was another moment of making me question it.
If you like cyberpunk, definitely start with this 3 books set and see how you like it.
I’m now onto book 4 and plan to finish the series.

Narrator is excellent. The way he portrays characters bring them to life.
The writing is ok at best. While I have nothing against non-binary characters the inclusion of they/them and modern politics just keeps breaking me out of the story. Additionally characters feel like they are stuck in a specific archetype and stay there.
The plot is about the same thing anyone can expect from the standard genre.
