This story had a good plot, interesting side characters and a bit of a mystery to solve. Not very complex, but more than just your simple “opposites attract” story. The author has created an strong fantasy world to play in. There is no wimpy damsel here, it’s a good story backed up by a good vocal performance. Worth the listen and definitely easy on the ears!

This isn't the worst romance I've ever read/listened to, but it wasn't for me. The characters seem juvenile and the jokes fall flat. I found the characters hard to relate to. I will probably avoid those author in the future.

Definitely a slooow burn (doesnt go in detail though). If i had one complain its that it feels like its olden times but then the main character uses phrases that i dont think they wouldve had back then but thats just me being nitpicky. I thought this was a cute book all in all :)

Great book, only reason I took a star off is that I would have enjoyed more in depth/ detailed sex screens. The author goes into kissing, grabbing and then it's the next morning. Just a bit more detail would have been nice.

female character was strong and had her own mind , love that. it was nice too that the story was done at 1 book. nothing worse then waiting months for the next one.

omg I was so excited to see this title released in audiobooks format, I had read it when it was released and was excited to see how it would change once turned into an audio production! it exceeded my expectations and I loved it so much! the narrator was a lovely surprise as I was familiar with some of her other work and enjoyed the way she added to the work. I look forward to re reading and re listening to this in the future

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It is, refreshingly, a stand-alone book and a cozy fantasy romance. There is decent character growth throughout the story. The world building is ok (I do wish there was more detail), and it was overall entertaining. There is some 'spice' in the final third of the story. I like how mutual respect makes an appearance, that the main characters' think (mostly) before reacting when anger/misunderstandings occur and they actually consider responsibility to friends/family/community (as misguided as that was at times) as their love and relationships develop. Bravo to the narrator as well!! I look forward to listening to the next books that take place in this world.
