good sequel but missing/changing characteristics of the main "hero" are startling. story is captivating, narrator is pleasant and the ending is satisfying but leaves you wanting more and more

So enjoyed this listen. Second story in this series is better developed and devious. I so appreciated the mystery and the development of the main characters. Well articulated side characters as well. Kudos to all involved.

Fantastic story, brilliantly read

What really pushed this one over the top for me was the narration. Andrew Fallaize is phenomenal — expressive, perfectly timed, and able to bring every character to life in a way that made the whole experience even better.

Ana is an absolute delight, as is Din. I hope to hear more about Ana's previous life in future books.

If you enjoy immersive fantasy with strong characters and top-tier narration, this audiobook is an easy recommendation. I loved every minute of it.
