when introspection, philosophy, and murder meet.

I thought at times it was a bit drawn out, the characters a bit long-winded, using so many words, when fewer would have sufficed. It's like Block couldn't help himself and he wanted to make the book last... and last. :)

All in all though, I enjoyed the book. I was curious as to how the whole plot would resolve itself, and it resolved itself in a manner that an aging Lawrence Block would resolve it, knowing that there's no hurry, and nothing left to prove, yet still capable of writing an interesting book.
