This series is great, it has fun pop culture references and is very progressive kind of mixing real life social issues with the magical world.

We met some interesting folks and got to know them as more than just teachers or head master but actual people. I love that she has a real girlfriend and her relationships with her guys are so genuine and authentic it’s just perfect they all bring something special to their bond.

We got to see more from her mom in this book and it kinda left in a cliffhanger but not to bad I’m definitely excited for the next book!

This series has a lot of real-life political views interwoven into the story. I'm all for people living the way they want but they mention it a lot for a fantasy series about magical beings. I would have preferred a little more about demons than the sexual orientation of an old college professor.

Anyway, the rest and overall story is really good. Though, the female narrator should swallow her spit a little more.
