À propos de cet audio

A former nobody is about to become a major somebody—and learn it's not all it's cracked up to be—in the fourth installment of this LitRPG fantasy adventure.

Back when things were normal, Orrin the Timid tried saving his best friend, Daniel the Popular, from a runaway truck. But he failed, and the resulting crash landed them both in a world of magic, monsters, and levels. There, Orrin grew from a mild-mannered sidekick into a legit powerhouse, unlocking Administrator-level powers unlike anything else. Still, things are tough for the former zero.

First, the psychotic witch who recently tried to obliterate him just cut a deal to stay out of jail. Second, dealing with power and politics in Dey is becoming a major migraine. Third, the devious Hospital is dragging Orrin into its internal strife. And lastly, "hero" Daniel's just barely hanging on to his sanity, on the verge of turning into a raging, uncontrollable murder machine. Trying to keep it all together has Orrin at the end of his rope—physically, mentally, and mystically.

If all that wasn't enough, the Demon Lord is at the gates, prepping his Dark Horde to roll in and rain destruction on the people of Asmea. Meanwhile, Orrin has stumbled onto a mystery whose every unraveling thread could have far-reaching implications....

The fourth volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than 600,000 views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

Tropes include: zero to hero, role reversal, unlikely hero, revenge of the nerds, and fog of war.

Love this series, book 4 really gets things in motion. It's honestly my favorite of the series, so far! As always the narrator is always on point.

Fantastic.

if you found the characters whiny in any of the previous books don't bother. They get worse. I still finished it so I didn't waste the credit but wish I stopped sooners and won't be continuing the series.

sunk cost fallacy is strong with this one

I dislike leaving negative reviews. This series has some very great aspects. Its an interesting world with great worldbuilding and magic. It has a strong storyline and epic battles. I think the fact that it has so much going for it makes these annoying characters that much more frustrating. Im so tired of listening to everyone getting so angry and offended by every little thing that happens. Characters being incredibly judgemental and hypocritical. People putting a knife to your throat or threatening to kill you over every single little slight. I won't give specific example to avoid spoilers but its so irritating to listen to over and over and over again. You are in life or death battles and in the middle of a war but you have time for these childish and pointless quibbles with eachother. Ive got 3 hours left in this book and they are still doing it. June is absolutely awful and so annoyingly volitile but they keep just talerating it. This book could have done without Maddie too. I hoped the author had these silly aguements in book 1 and 2 to show that these characters were going to grow up but nope. They never stopped. They never got powerful enough to stop getting threatened by everyone either. Disappointing and a let down felt more strongly because its otherwise a very engaging and well written story. Different stroke for different folks I guess.

Overly Childish and Annoying Characters
