The reader, although quite good, at times reads as though she has lost track of what she’s saying. This shows itself in incorrect emphasis of certain words or sentences, or in demonstrating the wrong emotion for what is said. It doesn’t happen too frequently, though. At times she gets a character’s name wrong, which is distracting. Such as calling Orpah, Oprah.

This was well ready and well Written. 10/10 would recommend, fairly accurate bible depiction but also while giving the characters more depth, gives you real insight into their thoughts and desires and struggles. makes them easier to relate with!! loved it.

Why did they pick such a poor narrator for the story? It’s so difficult to listen to it is so poorly done. I feel like I’ve wasted a credit because I’m sure the story is amazing but the narration is so poor. I can hardly stick with it.

Really enjoyed the story and the character development. Love historical fiction. However, the narration took away from it because the narrator was not engaged in the story. Her tone was the same throughout. There were no pauses, and no attempt to make the story come to life. Several annoying mispronunciations also.

Good story with unengaged, flat narration

The person reading the story in audible pronounced words and names wrong several times, plus would often reread small sentences. This was very frustrating as I had a real desire to listen to this entire book, but had to stop after the first story. Her tone is very flat and her Miss pronunciation constantly of words, distracts listener from the story line. If this is ever redone by another narrator I would definitely listen.
