Corgi, unbeknownst to a lot of people, is a type and not a breed (just like shepherd,hound or terrier), a quick search would have shown the author that and then she could have determined the actual breed she was going for (Cardigan welsh corgis- the world best breed, or pembroke welsh corgi's- satans little assholes......see, i'm biased 🙃)
