My 31-year-old self clicked and swiped her little heart out, leading to more dates than I could count, and more disappointment than I was prepared for.

Maybe you can relate. Maybe you know all too well the perils of modern dating. But let’s say, eventually, you meet someone. You think to yourself, “Wow, they’re perfect! Take me off the market, put a ring on it, knock me up, the whole enchilada, because they are ‘the one.’” Let’s also say that they “feel the same way” about you. Your life starts to make sense! All the pain, heartbreak, and frustration from past failed relationships was worth it. Slow clap.

That’s how I felt about Milos. He was from Europe, a doctor, wealthy, athletic. He had an accent and a dog. Milos was textbook marriage material. For him it was “love at first sight”, but for me, it was “anxiety on every date”. Something was telling me to run - but for two years, the only running I did was straight into his arms.

If only I would have listened. This isn’t a love story. It’s my story of survival.

I first heard of Brittani’s story through her friends YouTube channel, I couldn’t help but buy this book and it did not disappoint. The power of a mothers love prevails!

I have experiences with my own sucky love story. It was nowhere near as intense as Brittani's but it involved manipulation, verbal abuse, lies, a decent blow to my self esteem, and ended in a restraining order aswell. I completely understand the difficulties with obtaining a restraining order and mine never went to trial. I couldn't imagine the emotional turmoil Brittani went through with her's going to five court dates. I one hundred percent recommended this book, it accurately depicts how someone feels while being in a relationship like this and it could be very eye opening to someone who has never had any experiences like this as it can be hard to understand from outside the situation. I am sure I will be going back to listen to this story again at some point.

You never know what someone is going through. This story has opened my eye to the pain and suffering someone can go through behind closed doors, and to the fact that us the views had no clue during all of her videos. So happy for you Brittani! Cant wait to watch REX and you grow together!!!
