Description

1960. The world is dancing on the edge of revolution, and nowhere more so than on the Greek island of Hydra, where a circle of poets, painters and musicians live tangled lives, ruled by the writers Charmian Clift and George Johnston, troubled queen and king of bohemia. Great summer read!

A charming description of the life of great artists on the island of Hydra in the early sixties.

Beautiful descriptive writing which instilled a visual and emotional image of the island and lifestyle at that time.

This is definitely a lady’s read.
