The small kingdom of Komenda has ventured into the slave trade. The king looks to his most trusted advisor, Chimezie, to manage the rival tribesmen captured from the local countryside. Charging Chimezie with a mission, he dutifully follows the slave trade to the New World.
What he finds makes him doubt his mission. The deeper he goes, the clearer the picture becomes. Cloaked in secrets, the reality of slavery is a legacy of violence, terror and families torn apart.
