The small kingdom of Komenda has ventured into the slave trade. The king looks to his most trusted advisor, Chimezie, to manage the rival tribesmen captured from the local countryside. As an entrepreneurial man the king sees the wealth of his European contacts and realizes the potential of the trade. He seeks to increase his wealth and expand his kingdom. Charging Chimezie with a mission, he dutifully follows the slave trade to the New World.

What he finds makes him doubt his mission. The deeper he goes, the clearer the picture becomes. Cloaked in secrets, the reality of slavery is a legacy of violence, terror and families torn apart. Can Chimezie resist the lure of money and power to stand up for the people? Can he convince others to give up the trade? What would you risk to be on the right side of history?
