À propos de cet audio
Survive the snow. Scavenge the wilderness.
Two years ago, the end began.
In 2036, a rapidly destabilizing climate culminated in a worldwide snowstorm that froze the entire planet. Billions are now dead due to starvation, disease, civil unrest, and the plummeting temperatures. What remains of humanity now live in small settlements or isolated makeshift villages, carving out miserable lives in this grim new reality.
Some, like Chris Weston, choose to travel among the vast winter wastelands between the bastions of civilization. In the aftermath of the great collapse, Chris finds himself strangely suited for this new world. Strong, motivated, patient, and already possessing a fair amount of knowledge on wilderness survival, he’s lucky enough to feed the strong urge of wanderlust that grips him despite the new icebound Earth.
This collection contains A Warm Place 1-9.

Anyways. I was expecting some amount of explicit content. Just based on the cover art. Certainly seemed like it might be a harem type story. But there was no warning about it in the description. Sounded like a survival story. Figured there would be some tension and build up and maybe take until half way through the first book before anything really roudy happens. Then I’d see just how descriptive it is and decide if I was going to keep listening. Thats not what happened.
Didn’t even make it through the second chapter before they were dropping their pants. And from then on the book is 50% bedroom activities. 15% trying to not make the main character sound like a duche and 35% story line.
Not what I am looking for in a book. Cudos to the narrators for the performance. Made it several hours in, but I’m bailing before the end of the first book. There really should have been another tag or classification or rating on this book to indicate its content.
The title detail needs to emphasize explicit

but beyond the premise... the books are a bit awkward.
the explicit scenes use language that is simply very blunt. not to my taste, and for the almost 72 hours of play time is very, very repetitive.
To say the pacing is inconsistent would be a gross understatement.
and good lord the politics. some of the things the characters complain about, the rants and raves. it's all irrelevant, the old world is gone. no one cares.
but the worst sins of this series are all survival related. 30 miles on a sled or atv is less an hour's travel.
the final big plot point in the last book is so incredibly contrived it's almost painful.
And no one carries any damn rope! why does no one have any rope!
a cold place with no rope
