Such an amazing story! So much to learn from the women who went before us! About love and hate, about hard work, about how to be a true friend. I loved every character!

I love how the author makes the story come alive

I love historical fiction set in ww1 and ww2 especially told from a woman’s point of view so this was right up my alley :) story was good characters were strong, label narrator was good at differentiating between characters . Where this lost points was the religious undertones, if that’s your thing you will love this book but it had a subtle tone of bordering on being preached to that wasn’t really for me.

Loved loved loved! Lynn Austin is a new favourite author for me. I love the multiple points of view and how she shows that life may not be “happily ever after” but that with God we can find joy and hope regardless of our circumstances. Phenomenal story and I learned a ton! Highly recommend!! Narrator was absolutely incredible as well!!!
