I ate this up, gave me all the feels. Can’t remember the last like I was rooting for characters before

The narrators are perfect!

The narrator for the Cole character was very robotic. His rhythm, tone and inflections made me wonder if it was AI, actually looked into it. It's not AI.
Thought the plot was good, characters were good. Too many made up words that different characters said differently.

There's lots of twists a turns in this book. I can't believe 11 went by so quickly! I'm onto book two, am excited to see how their journey continues. It's free for you, so take advantage of this upcoming author!

This was such a great start to these books. I thought I would just listen to the first one but now I want to know what is happening from here. Some of it was slightly predictable but in a good way. The plot has some major twists in it that I wasn't expecting.

The world building in this book is so interesting. Its kinda Pirates, meets Greek gods, meets the supernatural world, and sailing. I am not sure what to exactly call it but it had been a nice change of pace. It starts as a bit of an enemy to lovers and a lovers to enemies. I took a risk and listened to this book because of Palmini and was disappointed he didn't seem to be in it much. Hopefully the next one has him in it more.

The yearning not just for each other but for the desire to have a safe person. I can relate as a SA survivor to allowing things to happen to you because it's easier than risking getting assaulted again. When 'Uhhhmm?' means no but you don't know how to say no our of fear.

That ending.... argh! Now I have to listen to the next one.

Female narration was incredible! That said, the male narrator for Cole sounded robotic, had zero rhythm and almost sounded AI generated. Very unfortunate that the story has so much to give but I was unable to finish due to this male narrator. I wanted to try and push through, but based on other reviews about his narration not getting any better, I couldn’t justify spending the time on it.
