 An odyssey of the heart begins the moment theater director Lucas Cameron discovers a box of letters written to his now-deceased grandmother by her protégé, Jessica Fontaine. Jessica disappeared from the stage years before, following a tragic accident. Through her letters, Lucas comes to fall in love with this passionate, talented woman, and seeks her out - only to find a bitter recluse whose hopes and desires have been crushed by fate.
