I really had a hard time getting into the first book, but I'm glad I stuck it out. I love this narrator for how she is able to create identifiable and individual voices.

Book 4 was devastating. I was sad about the losses.

Overall, this is a great series.

I listened to the old production before the story was always awesome but certian things were lost due to the production quality being poor. This production solves it, and this narrator is a favorite of mine. she reminds me of a anime voice actor.

the story of Valla and aldric is still a epic as ever.

This series is incredible. I think this world, these characters, and the plot are so good. I advise readers who are looking for romance. Try to push past the first book because the romance gets better. But if political scheming and magic are your things. then I strongly recommend this series.
