Jennifer Niven stole my heart, never have I cried so much while reading a book. This is a must-read.

Acceptance is so difficult
This book deals with acceptance and, by default, rejection at a number of different levels. Finch is not accepted by most of his peers and Violet has challenges accepting her sister's death. Through the story they move in almost opposite directions and both find acceptance in each other but ultimately need more. There are so many difficult teenage issues handled so well and done in such a way that invites reflection rather than judgement.
I was emotionally involved almost from the beginning and found the end to be both deflating and curiously positive. Survivor's deserve to live.

Beautiful and inspiring
This story has you rethinking the stigma that surrounds mental health disorders, it makes you think about how others are affected by your actions, and how others act around you. It will make you cry almost guaranteed but it's worth every tear.

Really really great book
not to read if you are depressed and struggling with suicidal thougts. we feel the struggle of the characters and I think the author made a really good job on the autenticity of these feelings.

incredibly, incredibly boring.
I had to force myself to get through this book. Since it's so popular, I gave it the benefit of doubt. Thinking it would pick up more in the middle. Hated the characters, the male voice over, the ending, everything basically.
