I love how Kolan stops at nothing to protect Sophie when her past comes back to haunt her. His alpha nature was in full force and I absolutely loved it!
Sophie is such a sweet, strong, kind soul. She survived a horrific past and was so much stronger than she knew. She was the only one that can soothe the beast when Kolan threatened to go over the top, a testament to how beautifully these two belonged together. I especially loved how Kolan showed Sophie that she wasn't damaged, or unloveable but that she was beautiful and strong and made for someone to love - him!
I absolutely loved Sarge and Benny, oh my, he stole my heart.
This is a wonderful book, so well written, as you can expect from KC and she doesn't disappoint. I loved seeing the other characters from MOH in this one and how everyone is such a close family warmed my heart. They easily accepted Sophie and reminded Kolan that he was part of this family and that they had his back, especially when he needed them most!
If you haven't read this series yet, you can read Kolan's story as a stand alone but honestly, I think you would get even more out of it if you read Nick and Katelyn's story in Acts of Salvation.
