À propos de cet audio
--Gandhi
In 1999, this book was designated as one of the "100 Most Important Spiritual Books of the Twentieth Century" by HarperCollins Publishers.
A holy man to Hindus, a hero to Muslims, and a criminal to the British, Mohandas K. Gandhi was an inspiring figure of the 20th century, a man whose quest to live in accord with God’s highest truth led him to initiate massive campaigns against racism, violence, and colonialism.
From his youthful rebellion against vegetarianism, to his successful law practice in South Africa, his struggle with his own sexual excesses, and his leadership of the movement to free India from British rule, Gandhi describes the story of his life as a series of spiritual “experiments” and explains how he developed his concept of active nonviolent resistance, which propelled the Indian struggle for independence and inspired countless other nonviolent struggles.
Public Domain (P)2010 Blackstone Audio, Inc.Many of us are all so temperated by fame, wealth, and ego etc.... a true human lies in his sense of humility and service to the pubic which is greater than oneself....
and that is what Gandhi is all about. He definitely deserves all the great recognition that world have honoured long after his death, but after I read Gandhi, I know that Gandhi will always lives in my conscious.
a great man, whom we all can learn from

Amazing

Sadly, the choice in narrator is a true indictment of the condescending nature of western culture. To have the names and places mentioned awkwardly and clumsily read aloud was difficult to get through. As a white man with English heritage, I couldn't help but feel ashamed.
To be clear, I am not shaming Wallace personally. I only wish the publisher and Audible would have properly respected what the British Empire did to Gandhi, and the people of India, so that the narrator would have been a culturally appropriate choice.
Incredible man, disappointing narration
