Brandon Andrew Morgan finds himself sitting on the top of the world for once, a definite change from the harrowing ordeals and ridiculousness that has plagued his life of late. Now, he's got the vampire thing figured out, has a stellar girlfriend, and is co-leader of the illustrious and growing town of Haven. As far as Brandon is concerned, everything is as it should be. He couldn’t ask for anything more, and nothing could strip him of his newfound happiness. Or so he hopes.

But alas, fate has its own twisted sense of humor. Like you were expecting any less. Enter Satine, the most powerful of all vampires. Rousing from the deepest of slumbers, Satine knows that his time has come to paint a new future, a future that includes screwing with Brandon and his friends at every opportunity. And as tensions mount, Brandon must find a way to stop the ancient vampire, a task made more difficult by the fact that his enemy is just so damn likeable. Can Brandon find a way to rise to the occasion before he loses his town and his girl? And if so, will he have any sanity left at all?
