I had... never even heard about who Ayn Rand was before reading this book. And while B. J. Harrison does an okay ob of bringing her dystopian fiction to life, I cannot say I am inspired to pay this book much heed.

The book is about a man rediscovering his sense of self and the power of electricity. The society he lives in, one where everything is dictated by the few but operate solely under group-think, desires to punish him after he discovers a power that rivals that of the candle.

Rand condemns communism throughout the entire book (no surprise there) and has a really bad take on the characterization of women.

At least it was super short.
