Description

He'll love him in any lifetime.

Neil isn't a ghost, but he feels like one. Reincarnated with all his memories from his prior life, he spent 20 years trapped in a child's body, wanting nothing more than to grow up and reclaim the love of his life.

As an adult, Neil finds there's more than lost time separating them. Joshua has built a beautiful life since Neil's death, and how exactly is Neil supposed to introduce himself? As Joshua's long-dead lover in a new body? Heartbroken and hopeless, Neil takes refuge in his work, developing microscopic robots called nanites that can produce medical miracles.

When Joshua meets a young scientist working on a medical project, his soul senses something his rational mind can't believe. Has Neil truly come back to him after 20 years? And if the impossible is real, can they be together at long last?

Contains mature themes.

Lovely Story

I enjoyed this book, with its unique premise and incorporation of nano tech. I was glad that there wasn't any cheating! The narrator did a great job!

Wonderful Story and Excellent Narration!

This audiobook is among my favourite books. The story was touching. The characters were well developed and the narration gave life to the story and characters. I will absolutely check out and read / listen to this author's and narrator's others works.

Review by Mel
5 Blue Roses
3.5 Blue Flames

Genre: MM sci-fi/fantasy

Narrator John Solo masterfully delivered a truly extraordinary mm romance. He sounded like he enjoyed narrating this one. It was fun and also a beautiful one of a kind little story about reincarnation and so much more.

The plot started out a little wonky, but as I soaked it up for what it was, my brain cells kick started and fired decently. I could sit back and enjoy the wonderful ride we don’t get to enjoy so often. As I reorganized my thoughts and realized we are talking about nanobots traveling through the blood-brain barrier via attaching themselves to glucose, I almost had an intelectual orgasim due to the medical correctness of it all. Kudos to the author for putting that extra effort into making sure the experience is real and medically correct. That is what made it a true sci-fi experience for myself. Additionally, to the nanobots, we have the reincarnation of a lover. His memories are intact, he is extremely intelligent and since he was a baby, he acted strange and far ahead of his peers.

This was an exhilarating experience, coupled it with the fantastic narration, I give it 5 Blue Roses and nominate it for a Blue Encore 2020!

Happy Listening

Waste of time and they chose the wrong narrator

I usually like this narrator, John solo, but I don’t think he was right for this book.

Then again, I didn’t like this book either way. I thought after chapter one it would jump to when Neil and Joshua reconnect but that’s not the case. The story just drags as it leads us through Neil‘s life with memories of his old life intact but in his current body and then leads you through Joshua‘s life with his new partner. I got bored so I jumped to chapter 5, only to listen to a weird birthday celebration for Joshua one month before his actual birthday celebrating Neil. I didn’t understand why that needed to be in the book as it didn’t make any sense to me. It was just filler but then again I thought all the chapters from 1-11 were simply fillers so from chapter 5 I jumped forward to chapter 7. I listened to most of that chapter but again, it didn’t bring anything to the storyline so I jumped to Chapter 11 where lee dies. Yes, you can say I didn’t read enough of the story to really dive deep but the parts that I did read, evoked no emotions. It was simply flat and I wasn’t sure if that was the story or a combination of the story and the particular narrator. Everything just seems so unemotional especially the character of Neil, from Joshua’s point of view, and from the random glimpses, everything portrayed him as selfish and this unemotional person with a lack of empathy and who only cares about his company and the development of whatever prototype they’re developing. it’s also showcased in the relationship between the present Neil and the mom he is born to in this present life, he has no desire to connect, only to grow up faster so he can get back to where he was in his past life. Other than the words being said, I didn’t feel or sense any form of deep love between Josh and Lee or Josh and Neil in the chapters that I read. Even when Josh was relaying the contents of his highly emotional dream, there was no feeling of loss or need or want. at chapter 11 I just gave up. What’s the point of reading the story if I spend most of the time skipping through the chapters.

I think all of the chapters before they actually reconnect could’ve been summed up in one chapter or the death of Neil could’ve been a prologue and then the beginning of the first chapter could’ve been A combination of what’s occurring with the new Neil and what’s going on in Josh’s life. everything else until they reconnect didn’t need to be in the storyline in my personal Opinion.
