Aurora Carter sells her pottery in an art boutique in Grand Marais, Minnesota, and she doesn’t believe in God. When Drew, her long-lost Christian cousin and an investigative journalist, mails her a package with a warning to open it at once, she ignores it. Just another attempt to save my spiritual life, she thinks.
At a séance, a dark spirit warns her never to open the parcel. Then a lawyer calls with news that Drew was murdered. When she finally reads what Drew sent, she learns that an angel gave Drew a series of prophecies and missions that must be fulfilled. But the missions are meant only for Aurora and her unbelieving brothers.
At Drew’s funeral, she learns that the Satanists Drew was investigating took his life. Then she receives a notebook where prophecies begin appearing, sending her and her brothers on a series of dangerous quests.
