there are 45 minute chapters that are just the narrator listing out the protagonists skill screen. you can skip them, but keep in mind that the story length is 2 hours shorter than it actually is.

title says it all, performance is great and I got a kick out of how the author pronounces the letter H when she says HP (Haich Pee)

Good story, stat chapters are too long

So the story starts out VERY stat screen reading heavy. Be ready with the skip button in the first half.
That being said the plot is actually humorous and progressed smoothly. Be prepared for an OP MC, but one that is made to have a believable growth. I mean a super soldier Cyborg that gets magic? What's not to like!
Personally I started out not enjoying this because of the long stat page readouts and repetitive skill name and function descriptions.
That being said I stuck with it and would say about halfway through the book it gets a whole lot better, and towards the end you wont want it to end (or at least that's how I felt ha).
In conclusion: it is a slow start novel that doesnt know if it wants to be a power fantasy or graph charting accounting program in the beginning but slowly decides it wants to be a badas* Cyborg action villainess who also does a bit of good.
BTW NARRATOR WAS AMAZING. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!(All caps for you ha)

Stat Screen Heavy Start But Great Second Half

While the voice actor was great, the overly long stat blocks and retreading of information is better as a book than an audiobook .

World building is interesting, however it is not enough to make the series worth reading.

It could get better later on however the comedy in this book felt like each side character had one joke that they could only repeat in slightly different ways.

I really liked the story and the voice acting was great, but the character sheet was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to long like 30 minutes at the end. but on all other fronts it was great

very interesting take on the genre

Story gets interesting, but then endless listings of repetitive stat lists halt all momentum and interest in the plot, drowning in logical information, losing the reader. Mind numbingly foolish to do this at exactly the wrong times. 🤬 Just bad storytelling, ruining moments throughout it all. Ugh, feel like ripping my ears off as the list drones on and for the last 15 minutes of each associated chapter plagued by this pointless dialogue. It just becomes noise, ruining the chapters.

I don’t know what’s supposed to be humorous. Certainly silly.
Don’t think to much about this book. Main character is OP and doesn’t have any real challenges. But of course terminator with OP magic abilities is going to not have many challenges in a midevil world. It’s just a silly fun story with silly fun characters.

Also. The other reviews about stat spam are accurate. Normally I find I am much more tolerant of frequent and heavy stat reading. But I am certain that some of them went on for 20 minutes. That’s too much even for me.

All in all. Not regretting listening. But not going to continue the series.

a fairly standard litrpg but wow some of the stat screen read outs go on for 12+ minutes. do yourself a favor and anytime they start reading a stat page start the next chapter.

Story:
The book description outlined a rather wild setting but the author managed to pull it off surprisingly well. MC is very interesting despite being an emotionless cyborg. The only complaint is the massive and growing stats sheet that's re-read too many times (totaling almost 2 hours), they are skippable of course but padding is padding.

i could only get half way through the book. it's an interesting idea and I like how the story was going even if the MC was a little too OP for my tastes. But the skill screens! After every battle, or new skill, the entire screen and their descriptions would be read. it was so repetitive.
