I adored this book. Fits right in with the best of Anna Stone's Mistress and Irresistibly Bound series. My only complaint is I'm not a fan of Allie Shae's performance of the most intense moments in erotic scenes... I find it overdone... That said, overall I enjoy her sensual voice, clear diction, and solid if not top tier conveyance of emotions. That's why she gets 4 stars for performance and the book overall gets 5. Still, given how heavily spice features in Stone's work it makes me wish we'd gotten Lexy Rebe again or virtually any of the other narrators who have done one of Persephone Black's books, which are a similar level of kinky so suggests the narrators would probably be comfortable with the material. That said, I'm mostly just happy when I get a new audiobook from either author. I have yet to find another author of sapphic romance besides these two who delivers, with any reliability, decent writing and a good story to back up a high number of kinky erotic scenes enough that the scenes don't feel hollow.
