Avery Marie flees Seelie Court life to avoid an arranged marriage with haughty Prince Harold. She embarks on an epic adventure through the lands of the fae to discover her quest may be much bigger than she thought. She meets a wandering half-elf named Elliot, who explains that it's not just fae that's been changing for the worse. They soon learn that in the mortal world, through the use of technology, human minds are slowly being taken over by an alien presence. They discover that mortals have been working with the fae to create a portal to another world. Avery and Elliot seek safety at a notorious commune away from the drama of the courts, but it may be too late to save themselves.

I really enjoyed this story filled with fantasy sex and drugs. I loved the intriguing concepts this magical world has with the blend of technology and magic that left me wanting to know more and wrap my head around the unique ideas that bring the world of elfae to life. The author, Christina, who narrates this audiobook, has a soothing voice and was great to listen to. I hope the series continues because I'd love to visit elfae again. if you like fantasy, scifi, romance, sex and drugs, you'll love this book too.
