This book wasn't horrible, but it certainly wasn't good either. the whole story line was very predictable and quite boring. There were no twists or grabs.

I wasn't crazy about the narrator. Very young sounding with no real distinct character changes in tone or mannerisms.

Pretty Predictable...

While I found moments of this predictable, I did like that it had enough twists and turns to keep me guessing to the end. I really had only one complaint. “Stop. Stop! STOP!” The line was used sooooo many times, and the annoying way it’s performed each time was like nails on a chalkboard. If I’d been reading it it would have been fine, but as an audiobook it was irritating and distracting. The narrator was a bit flat outside of that, so it was always jarring by comparison. Great story, and I wish I had the time to have read it instead of listening to it!

I liked that it wasn’t totally predictable

This was a fun listen, good while you’re getting stuff done around the house. But the writing wasn’t great, extremely redundant and repetitive. She literally has the exact same thoughts about her best friend EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER. There were MULTIPLE times within this book where I was like “whoops did I accidentally back it up?” Because we’d already heard the exact same words in so many other places of the book. Again, it was okay, it was fun-ish, but I feel like I wasted a credit lol

Good story but the writing was very flowery. I just found that the metaphors in every single description were a bit much.

I didn’t love the narration but upon reflection it was a good choice for the lead character.

I enjoyed the suspense in this book, but personally found it a bit intense. if you like to have your heart pumping from intense drama this is the book for you!
