À propos de cet audio
Democracy is a monumental achievement in the evolution of consciousness. It is in this time between worlds and time between stories that evolutionary achievement is challenged to evolve once more—for today, democracy is broken in a number of key ways.
1) Many of the key issues of the day are not being voted on.
2) When we do vote on key issues, they are often too complex for anyone other than the most proficient experts to understand and form a position.
3) Moreover, we are voting within the context of nation states, but the real issues are global.
4) To make matters worse, it is simply true that elections can be and are statistically swung via manipulation by social media.
5) More fundamentally even, the current win-lose structure of democracy undermines democracy itself.
6) Finally, democracy disenfranchises all those who supported the loser in an election, even if that loser wins just a fraction less of the vote than the winner.
The next stage of democracy is what we are calling synergistic democracy. Synergistic democracy is rooted in a politics of Evolutionary Love, which generates a planetary awakening in love through Unique Self Symphonies.
Synergistic democracy is about how we create a shared field of value based on a universal grammar of evolving value. To have a real democracy, we need a shared sense of sense-making, which in turn requires a shared grammar of value that allows for shared evaluation. For the next stage of democracy, we need a shared Story of Value, rooted in First Principles and First Values.
In a synergistic democracy, conversations take place in which no one is excluded from the circle. The insights of the various factions are traced to their deep root in a shared field of value. Synergy between competing perspectives of value becomes the order of the polis, instead of domination through narrowly-won elections. It is not that voting is necessarily excluded, but rather that the voting takes place after a process of perspective sharing.
