The Mindhunter introduces you to Paul Harrison a British criminal profiler working in the FBI's elite behavioural analysis unit, profiling the twisted minds of notorious serial killers like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. Hailed as "Britain's Mindhunter," Paul became an author and public speaker captivating True Crime fans across the UK with his chilling tales and unparalleled insights into the depths of human depravity. But it turns out that the real mystery of the mind may lie with Paul himself, because his past isn't exactly how it seems to be.

Join Journalist Francisco Garcia and producer Brenna Daldorph as they delve deeper into Paul’s secrets. From the stands of Carlisle United football team to one of the most remote Orkney islands, you’ll be introduced to an array of fan communities, dedicated and passionate individuals who play pivotal roles in Paul’s ultimate undoing.

As the True Crime community will discover, sometimes the most chilling stories lurk within their own ranks.

This series deals with adult themes including references to child abuse and murder. It also contains strong language. Listener discretion is advised.

Episode 1 - Small town murder circuit Paul Harrison is traveling around the UK regaling audiences with chilling tales of his encounters with notorious serial killers. But how did a lowly British police officer ascend to the ranks of the FBI’s elite criminal profilers? And what exactly is the mysterious art of “mindhunting”?

Episode 2 - Death on the Nile Before Paul Harrison wrote about True Crime, he wrote about the oft-losing football team Carlisle United. As we delve into this part of his history, we uncover a mystery involving an archeological dig in Egypt, a sudden death and a reincarnation.

Episode 3 - The Wazzock When a journalist at The Sun starts looking into Paul’s background as a criminal profiler, he goes deep into the criminal world: reaching out to friends of London gangsters the Kray twins and Peter Sutcliffe, often referred to as the “Yorkshire Ripper”. But it is an FBI profiler who will deliver the biggest bombshell about Paul.

Episode 4 - Devil’s Knots Journalist Francisco Garcia and producer Brenna Daldorph embark on a journey to the remote and eerie island of Sanday, where Paul resided during the writing of his seminal work, "Mind Games," a book that delved into the psyches of serial killers. They try and understand what his life was like at the time and where his own mind was at. But what they encounter are shifting truths and a community that seem reluctant to speak.

Episode 5 - Modus Operandi The investigation takes us to a caravan park in Yorkshire, where an employee found his life upended after a run-in with Paul. We meet a librarian-turned-investigator in Australia who reveals to us that Paul might have been operating on a much wider scale than we originally thought.

Episode 6 - What’s truth when it comes to the Loch Ness monster? In the final episode, we head to Loch Ness to meet a Nessie diehard affected by Paul’s claims. And they are far from the only ones affected. But Paul didn’t act alone, so who else bears responsibility for his actions?
