I'm working toward my statistics degree, so landing the bat-boy position with the Easton U Pirates is right up my alley. It keeps me close to the action on the field, even if that means hauling equipment, picking up sweaty jockstraps, and putting up with the players' antics. My dad's the coach, and his number-one rule is never to play favorites...which probably includes getting too friendly with the team captain. But Brady Donovan's annoyingly perfect smile and protective nature are making that nearly impossible.

The coming out story was sweet. The connection of the main romance was believable and well-paced. There is a (minor) neurodivergent (sibling with autism) character.

Its not the best out there but it is pretty good ! Loved the concept behind that & love a story about a guy finding his sexual identity!

This was my first audio by Christina and I found it SO enjoyable! The story was fantastic and I loved the whole cast of characters. Iggy and Kale were superb go-to narrators as per usual and I loved how they brought out the vulnerability and youthfulness of this college baseball love story. 😍

TL:DR Kellan is in college studying to be a sports statistician, and takes a job as a bat bóy with his dad’s team, also becoming clubhouse manager. It’s a big deal and there are rules. He can’t flirt and he can’t play favorites, which is tough because the team captain, Brady is extra friendly, always including him and acting like a friend while everyone else hazes him. Plus he’s soooo hot. Too bad he can’t do anything about it.

Brady thought he was straight up until he met Kellan, then he can’t get the cute little bat bóy out of his brain. He’s nice, he’s sweet, thoughtful and always treats his autistic brother with so much friendliness, he has so much heart he’s irresistible… but Brady isn’t gay, or is he? He gets to find out on the road when his room’s toilet floods and he crashes Kellan’s room and shares that *one* bed… finally getting to cuddle Kellan who happens to make the best human teddy bear ever.

It’s really cute reading how Brady figures everything out, and turns to Kellan as a guide and touchstone in his queer discoveries. The first times are precious and sweet and the narrations are just perfect.

You damn well know I grabbed book 2 immediately.

I really enjoyed this book, especially the excellent narration! The main characters are lovable and relatable, their friends are great and the story was the perfect length with just enough spicy scenes.

Cute story with no major misunderstanding drama troupe. A quicker story that's simply a nice fun romance to fall into to.

not bad but not good. writing is a bit juvenile and the characters were bland. I wouldn't read anything else by this author, but if you're looking for a read with no stakes where nothing happens and there's no growth, this is for you
