À propos de cet audio
One starship will either save Earth or destroy her.
A century ago our star erupted, destroying Earth's wormhole network and closing off trade with her colonized planets. After being out of contact with the younger worlds for so many years, humanity is shocked when a huge ship appears at the edge of the solar system. Our outdated navy investigates, both curious and fearful. What they learn from the massive vessel shocks the planet. The lost colonies have survived - but the reunion isn't going to be a happy one. Our descendants are vastly superior in the art of warfare. Worse, there are other beings undreamed of beyond the human frontier: strange, unfathomable...alien.
Battle cruiser Defiant, the first capital ship to darken Earth's skies, is tasked with exploring new passages to the younger planets. Old Earth must reunite with her children...but can humanity survive the inevitable conflicts? Captain William Sparhawk, determined to follow a path of honor and truthfulness, dares to rise to the challenge. Battle Cruiser is a military science fiction novel by best-selling author B. V. Larson.

I have listened to numerous of the authors other books and found them to be entertaining and always looked forward to the next book in the series. Not so in the Case of "Battle Cruiser", as far as I am concerned the Lost Colonies should have stayed lost
I would recommend the Undying Mercenaries series over the "lost colonies any day. I am still a little dumbfounded as to how an author can create a character like "old James Magill" and then to have such a drab, boring, lackluster, one dimensional main character as Captain William Sparhawk in this book.
I actually wondered at one point, if this was the authors attempt to make a children's book and forgot to let the readers know that of you were over the age of twelve, not to waste your time.
Slow and Unimaginative

The love story is horrid and lacks any real depth or meaning and most of the interactions is sound so forced and simplified it was difficult to get into the story.
Narrators voice of the secondary female character was that of a neanderthal and good to give her shape but annoying after a while.
Really didnt enjoy it and couldn't get more then half way through. Not worth the buy.
Great concept, poor execution
