Ray McKenna returns from the war in Iraq to find that she had attained unwanted celebrity status back home. When Ray McKenna walks into the North Coast Veterinary Clinic with Jagger, she and Carly begin a friendship that takes them both by surprise. Brought together by their shared love of dogs, Ray and Carly discover that they are both capable of moving forward, if only they are brave enough to try.

Good story

The story is good but the narration is subpar. The audio quality is pretty terrible and the tone used does not match what’s happening in the story. You’d be better off reading the book, in my opinion.

Good story but bad audio quality and okay narration

Good story. The audio quality is very poor, however. The narration is okay but the narrator’s expression and tone doesn’t always align with the words. The audio/performance distracted from the story, unfortunately. One word was read wrong (“invermectin”) which again made it difficult to pay attention to the story.

Bad narration

A fairly decent story marred by a bad narrator. The narrator lacks range and there are multiple parts of the story which don't flow properly due to poor editing. There's also a unusually long pause between each chapter.
