There’s so much about the story I love, but I must be honest, the dialogue between characters sometimes have me very frustrated. Sometimes the MC and other characters preach at each other, and talk like they are more in a play delivering long soliloquies and speeches about injustice instead of natural conversations that are more appropriate to the situation. It gives me a bit of whiplash, because one second I’m kinda annoyed with some of the dialogue and the next, I’m mesmerized with other aspects of the story and writing to the point, I almost forget those previously clunky scenes, only for another awkward scene to come up again. Still love the book, but had to pause the audiobook to just write this now.
