À propos de cet audio

As a MechWarrior of the Draconis Combine, Minobu Tetsuhara was bound by Bushido - a code that demands loyal service - to the devious Warlord Grieg Samsonov. But when Minobu came upon a strange blue-and-gold Archer, Bushido also dictated that he not destroy the honorable but helpless warrior. And so begins the BattleTech Chronicles, books one, two, and three...

very brutal abridgement of the books. each should be redone. (not much more to say, had to add words for the 15 word minimum)

was an ok overview of the book

These are heavily abridged versions of all three books presented. Book 1 works just fine, but books 2 and 3 suffer a little for all of the cut content. You can follow the basis of the stories, but you can tell that many scenes are cut short. It feels like a "Greatest Hits" compilation. If you are familiar with the lore of BattleTech, this will definitely help you fill in the gaps. If you're new to the setting, this might leave you wanting more.

A fun, if brief ride!

Nothing about this audio book was enjoyable. The bland narration dows nothing to salvage the poor writing. Abysmal characterization and a complete lack of meaningful character development means characters are only POV vehicles to move you from dull exposition with no real tension to poorly described dull action sequences. They added sound effects such as terrible lasers and explosion noises with awful audio mixing so frequently these drown out the narration while adding nothing of value.

Dialogue is stiffer than a priest in a playground, theres no witty repartee and theres no interesting character interactions because everything feels so flat. the action means nothing because you aren't invested in it nor the characters participating in it. It is tell not show style of story telling, suffering symptoms of the same terrible work that suffuses other franchises like Warhammer 40K novels. Easily the worst audio book I've listened to in years.

It sucked from start to finish.
