À propos de cet audio

When private detective Agatha Raisin comes across a severed leg in a roadside hedge, it looks like she is about to become involved in a particularly gruesome murder. Looks, however, can be deceiving, as Agatha discovers when she is employed to investigate a case of industrial espionage at a factory where nothing is quite what it seems.

The factory mystery soon turns to murder and a bad-tempered donkey turns Agatha into a national celebrity, before bringing her ridicule and shame. To add to her woes, Agatha finds herself grappling with growing feelings for her friend and occasional lover, Sir Charles Fraith. Then, as a possible solution to the factory murder unfolds, her own life is thrown into deadly peril. Will Agatha get her man at last? Or will the killer get her first?

An excellent, entertaining author with a one-of'-a-kind character, portrayed by consummate artist and (voice) chameleon, Dame Penelope Keith.

Excellent Agatha!

I love MC Beaton's Agatha Raisin. This series has been a great for my commute.

Another Great Hee Haw

After a string of less than stellar books in the series, Beating Around the Bush is a return to classic Agatha Raisin story!

Penelope Keith’s performance was perfect.

A very good listen all around.

A revival of sorts

I have read all the previous books and am finding Agatha is more cantankerous and belligerent in each nook. The humour and escapades are getting very predictable. Read the first chapter to get the story then skip to the last two chapters. In the second last chapter, agatha is caught in life threatening situation where all the baddies are going to kill her. Someone rescues her and one bad guy gets away. In the last chapter, the police all feel she is safe, but isn't.....
I'd like to know why Charles is a constant, boring character with a most repulsive man servant.

sooo predictable

Bored me to tears! I love Agatha Raisin and had been waiting forever for this release. Waste of time. This novel was phoned in. It was if she wrote it in an afternoon.

None of the usual charm. Hard to put a finger on it but it felt like cardboard instead of cake. Donkey was the only interesting part.

No real presence of any characters. When they were there they felt forced and phoney.

If you love Agatha Raisin and I do, you won't love this book. If you are just discovering her, this book will let you down.

Disappointing Drivel
