Kept me interested enough but I found that the main plot twist was made obvious very early on, the book was decent though and the narration is what kept me into it. I did enjoy the ending.

This Sarah A. Denzil story follows the discovery of 17-year-old 'Alice Hollaway' and her newborn baby 'Jess' chained to a floor in a basement. Advanced placement High School teacher 'Lucy Foster' and teen son 'Theo' navigate friendship with the girl while navigating media sensationalism and confronting a creepy stalker. The rollercoaster ride continues from there.
The story is well-written with complex characters and a twisty-turny plot. The mother-daughter/mom-teen son drama aspects are a bit overdone.. but the book captivated me.

Doubtless, outstanding reading from the tandem of Robyn Addison & Lucy Dixon contributes to my esteem for the book. The reading of Lucy's inner dialogue, in particular, is emotive and affecting.

Altogether, 'Behind A Locked Door' was a great find on the 'Plus' menu. The 8.5/10-star tale is one of the better ones that I've heard from Denzil.. can recommend.
