This book is great if you’re up for a lesson about culture shock. The amount of privileges we have on the west side of the world is insane, and I had no clue the east side of the world experienced certain things.

A journey I am privileged to have enjoyed reading and to have been taken along with the author on his many trials and accomplishments . We as persons who have possibly never experienced such a journey through personal trials and faith, should acknowledge how fortunate we are to be a citizen of a country that allows expression of personal freedom

The author's style of writing is a colorful woven tapestry, comparing and contrasting his experiences of freedom as a complete absence in his homeland and, then, as a total abundance in America. He proclaims that freedom is actually a responsibility, a precious privilege that Americans should protect and respect in order for it to not disappear.

I listened to the book Beyond the Golden Door , written by Ali Master on audible. I found this book so enthralling and finished it in one sitting.

Ali Master himself narrates the audible version of the book. I found, the way he tells a story is engaging and quite relaxing. He spoke clearly and at a perfect speed.

The book itself is a true testament to the amazing souls that immigrate or relocate in anticipation of bright new beginnings. Mr. Master conveyed his message of love, hope, faith, heartbreak and success so realistically, I felt as if I was walking right beside him through his life experience.

As a first generation Canadian, I truly appreciate Mr.Master's account on what immigrating is really like. I gained a new appreciation for my grandparents and parents after listening to this well written memoir. Ali Master highlights not only the amazing opportunities and new experiences that come with immigrating and life itself, but also the trials and tribulations that can arise. Such as, but not limited to, learning and integrating a new culture much different from previous and learning how to integrate religious and traditional practices.

I found myself cheering for Mr. Master and his family as he climes the ladder of success, as well as tearing up during times of struggle and heartbreak. Ali Master and his wife are truly amazing souls, and this shows throughout his memoir.

Mr. Master speaks to a wide range of people. There is truly something for everybody in this book as he encapsulates topics such as; love, faith, success, freedom, immigration, integration, sexual abuse and adoption. His candidness and ability to lay everything out for people to see is truly remarkable.

There are a few instances of profanity within the book, specifically in chapters 3,5,7,8 and 12. Also topics such as sexual abuse could be triggering to some people. However, overall, this is ana amazing memoir and I truly feel anyone that picks this book up to read or listen to, will love and appreciate it as much as I do.

I gave Ali Master's Beyond the Golden Door a 5/5 stars because this book had me engrossed from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and I feel it's a book worth recommending to anyone and everyone. I will most definitely listen to this book again and will most definitely buy a hard copy as well.

He wrote his own life journey immigrated from Asian country to USA about challenges,racism,dilemma of immigration terrorism…young generation must recommend book before coming to western countries.
