Sunday led approximately 300 revivals throughout the U.S. which attracted audiences estimated at 100 million. This may well be the largest number of people ever evangelized by one person before the use of broadcasting. Sunday, also a leader in the Prohibition movement, promoted his beliefs about alcohol at his largest revival, held in New York City in 1917.
