The storyline was very interesting and the narrator did a very good job when she read female characters. However, her narration of male characters wasn’t good. Their tones were too feminine, especially Jake’s. He sounded weak and wasn’t portrayed as being a strong masculine figure.

Got to the end of the book but I did not enjoy it.... Male voices and female voices sound the and sometimes... Angry male voices.. Sounded old.... Good story.. Wrong narrator... I would not recommend it... Buy the book and read it...

This narration didn't help a mediocre plot. The narrator tends to pause every 4th or 5th word. It's like she's....reading in phrases instead....of reading in sentences...

The whodunit part is better than the romance part.

I like Nora Roberts, this is as enjoyable as they all are. I didn't care for the narrator, I've heard much better work with voices. But overall enjoyable, definitely worth the credit!

It was several years since I last read your novel by Nora Roberts. When Audible offered this book at a discount, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my overall disappointment was the same as before. Far too much gratuitous sex which adds nothing to the plot or character development. Immature adolescent-like conversations between the characters. Narrator's vocal changes for different characters was grating. While the initial plot was interesting, it devolved into something too long and too complex. Not a good investment of 16 hours.

Too much lovey-dovey stuff. All the male voices sounded alike. Could have skipped the soft porn. Don’t think I’ll try another by this author.
