Exactly what I hoped for
I won't call this a fantastic story, but it's exactly what I was hoping for. I'm the kind of reader that just likes to listen to fluff, so if that's what you're after than you've found it.
The performance was clear and well-paced. I always find one of the two voices he performs to be a lot more feminine-sounding than I desire for a book that is about two gay love interests, but maybe that's just my preference.

An unexpected delight
I passed on this book in KU many times because I thought it was a pretty cliche trope but I definitely gave this book and the author a disservice.
Nathan's scrambled kidnapping and Jared's subsequent revival on a bathroom floor had me rolling with laughter and although the story leans heavily on the 'fated mates' trope which I actually hate the individual characters and their relationships with one another are endearing and enjoyable.
The narration loses a point for clarity and overall progression.
For starters the English actor pronounces the word Beta in a way I am not familiar with as a North American, so for a while I thought he was saying 'Beaters' instead of Betas, he also seems to either lack emotion or have the wrong emotion at times when he is speaking as the character and it can ruin the scene a bit.
The breaks between chapters are almost seamless and it's hard to tell when you've transitioned from one character's POV to another. In addition to that sometimes the words are read in a way where it's obvious another take had to be made and so the voice stops at odd moments in a sentence.
Definitely needs more on the editing and direction side.
