This was a very enjoyable audio play, the stories were mostly enjoyable and it certainly is a Hard Boiled, Gumshoe's and Dame's collection of short stories but the voice performances are what make this stand out. Absolutely stellar narration especially by the lead characters.

Very good stories with excellent performances all round. Old school crime drama from the 1930's but dare I say far more enjoyable than a the vast majority of contemporary fare. No tiresome agenda driven narratives, No nauseating political lectures, just good story telling and gripping tales. A real breath of fresh air.
