Honestly, this was even better than the first book. I'm glad it didn't have the amount of romance that a lot of people expected, because it focused more on relationships where mistakes happen and people take accountability whether they're romantic platonic or familial. highly recommend this book for anyone that wants to read about a girl that is going to be very frustrating but who ends up learning and bettering her community of which the community also learns to be better from.

The ending of the 1st book made me so mad so I had to read this to get some closure lol! Ill be honest I was hoping for more romance in the beginning, still wish there was more. But when I was half way through I couldn't stop reading. Surprises left and right! And so many tears! This was beautiful written! I'm so happy how it ended. A great read will definitely recommend!

I really love the complexity of the characters. The story seemed like it was really aimed towards a black audience, but it’s easy enough to keep up with if you are younger yes it’s a longer novel, but it was very easy to follow but complex as well.

10/10 I wish I could hit my head, lose my memory and reread this again!
