Description
Magical chocolates, missing jewels, and murder....
When novice witch Caitlyn Le Fey heads to the outdoor cinema festival at a beautiful English manor, the last thing she expects is for the evening to end in murder. But when a dead man is found with fang marks in his neck and her old vampire uncle, Viktor, is arrested, Caitlyn must use all her newfound magic powers to clear his name.
Sleuthing isn't simple, however, with so many strangers arriving at her grandmother's enchanted chocolate shop: there's the secretive village tenant with creepy Goth tastes, the inscrutable new butler at Huntingdon Manor - and a charming Frenchman keen to win Caitlyn's heart. And that's before she has to master the art of making the perfect chocolate soufflé or deal with a Levitation spell gone horribly wrong! Still, at least she has the help of her naughty kitten, Nibs, not to mention all the village gossips!
Then a wild goose chase leads to an unexpected discovery and Caitlyn realizes that she's missed a clue under her nose all along. Can she solve the mystery - and maybe even discover Lord James Fitzroy's real feelings for her? Or will she succumb to a vampire's fatal bite?

A book with bite
I enjoyed this book. I don't usually like vampire stories because they creep me out but I like the bewitched by chocolate series and love the character Viktor (the elderly guardian vampire) so thought I would give it ago, glad I did as it was a fun read/listen with all the witch craft going rye and the who done it factor.
While watching a film outside in the beautiful gardens of the manor a murder takes place and when it is discovered the body was drained of blood all fingers point to Viktor. Who managed to make himself a suspect quite spectacularly. It's up to Caitlyn to prove his innocence and find the killer before more blood is spilt. The only problem is. that is not her only concern with one cousin practicing magic and having a fight with the other Caitlyn could really do without a new man in her life to make things really complicated. Not to mention missing jewellery and a mischievous cat. All in all a fun and sometimes funny cozy mystery.
The narrator was easy to listen too.

Getting Better!
While the English narrator trying to sound Californian is still grating, it wasn't as obnoxious in this installment of the series. The story wasn't as transparent, so trying to figure out whom the murderer was was much more fun! Finally getting into more of the supernatural side of things, but the history and background of the protagonist is DRAGGING! All in all, I'm glad I stuck with the series, and am looking forward to more.

A lot of charm & a sprinkle of magic
I love this series, it’s the perfect blend of laughter, mystery & magic with a little romance mixed in too. Caitlin just recently learned she is a witch, but only a few people know her secret. In this book Victor’s secret that he is a vampires threatens to come out when a man is murdered with vampires bite marks. Although this is a bit paranormal the crux of the story is a cozy British mystery with a lot of charm
