This is such a refreshing approach to a still very relevant, very systematic flaw in western society.
It has fantasy and magic while still being so deeply relatable; it's not difficult at all the imagine this transposed over today's world.

This is hands down the best book I've read in the past few years. The writing is beautiful, and the magic system is uniquely crafted—intriguing yet easy to grasp. Every detail is important, and the way it's all explained makes it accessible without feeling overwhelming. By the time I finished, I was in tears. I'm not usually one to reread books, but I can already see myself coming back to this one.

The author skillfully brought up super important injustices and politics in the story including magic. It makes you think, pulls on your heart strings and engages you in another world. And of course the ending wasnt predictable or only romance based. Leaves you powerfully moved, and with hope in the darkness♡

Amazing story with mature colonial themes while still being a fantasy-escape. Amazing work by the narrator. Amazing world building and plot. No spice but that didn’t bother me when the story was so well written.
