À propos de cet audio

Who is to blame when no one is innocent?

The papers want blood. The force wants results. The law must be served, whatever the cost.

August 1973. The Glasgow drugs trade is booming and Bobby March, the city's own rock-star hero, has just OD'ed in a central hotel.

Alice Winters is 12 years old, lonely. And missing.

Meanwhile the niece of McCoy's boss has fallen in with a bad crowd and when she goes AWOL, McCoy is asked - off the books - to find her.

McCoy has a hunch. But does he have enough time?

I read the first in the series thanks to the free copy from Audible and I was completely hooked, even though the amount of violence and drug and alcohol use would have normally turned me off. The atmosphere is so well done you can practically smell it. I couldn't stop listening. I cheer for Harry McCoy at every blood turn!

gritty 70s Glasgow, compelling and cringe worthy

After listening all 3 of Allan Park’s Harry McCoy audiobooks, this is the best one! Author took his plot to amazing heights, twists unexpected, nail biting drama. It’s so descriptive you see the action. The main characters have been given more personality, to develop a good, if violent, plot. Poor Harry must have more holes, broken bones than a mangled car wreck, but who cares! Action is so gut wrenching, and much sorrow too. My one quarrel with Scottish lingo, is the annoying pronunciation of word, police. It does NOT rhyme with Wallace! It’s polees, long o, NOT to rhyme with Wallis. Can’t wait for further installment to see if Harry maintains his resignation from force after Rayburn fiasco. Great police procedural!

Third installment is best
